Raya Restaurant (ร้านอาหาร ระย้า)

Few restaurants are as classic and have as much heritage on the entire island of Phuket than Raya Restaurant (ร้านอาหาร ระย้า). They serve local Phuket food - a mixture of Thai, Chinese, and Malay flavors and cooking techniques. What also makes Raya so memorable is that it’s located in a 100 year old mansion that hasn’t changed much since. Their signature dishes are braised Chinese style pork (หมูฮ้อง moo hong), and crab curry with wild betel leaves served with rice noodles (แกงปูใบชะพลู gaeng boo bai chaplu) - probably my favorite dish here.
