Food Photo: World’s Strangest Looking Tandoori Chicken?
World’s Strangest Looking Tandoori Chicken at Bangkok’s Gaggan
Green eggs and ham I know…
But green tandoori chicken with suspicious foam?
DE-LICIOUS! Some yummy varieties of tandoori are marinated in green herbs, yogurt, and spices but rarely do you see the dish presented this way.
This tandoori plate at Gaggan Restaurant in Bangkok’s Langsuan was not only tasty, but juicy just like all the tandoori you learn to crave in the middle of night when it’s miles and miles of continents away!
Let’s hope this foam will help it float onto another plate of mine soon!

This looks more like a Hariyali chicken cooked in the tandoor – hence perhaps the name “tandoori” chicken. The marinade must either be cilantro or some other green herb like fenugreek greens, or mint, or some combination.
Mark – I was asking about Gaggan in another post – looks like your blog has a picture from Gaggan!

I had a version of Langsuan in Cambodia (Indian restaurant in PP) and loved it. Sadly, I haven’t been able to source the dish or anything similar since returning to the US. Don’t judge a book by its cover, nor tandoori by it’s color :-)
